Welcome to my website! This website is an attempt at continuing the learning process post academia, since I am a lover of nature and learning. I spend much of my free time running, hiking, camping or just being outside with my dogs. The title of this page is an homage to the one thing about nature I could really do without and a major nuisance on Mt. Washington in Oregon: mosquitoes. In attempt to keep up with the technology that may be very useful to any job I may have in the future, I decided designing and maintaining a webpage would be beneficial. The contents of my webpage consist of pictures I have taken along with an article written to accompany the photo. This is very much a work in progress and will continue to evolve in website design as well as information in the articles. I plan to revisit and update the articles as I learn more about each topic. Information in the articles will be taken from the references I have on hand and listed at the bottom of each entry. My educational background is within biology, botany and horticulture so subjects will revolve around these things. I do NOT claim to be an expert on anything I write about, and realize there are always tidbits missing. I welcome any comments or questions via email at first, and plan to eventually have a way to post them on the website. All I ask is that the comments are constructive and good natured. This page will be an ever changing work in progress. Enjoy the pictures!
